I watched The X-Files qutie a bit when I was in high school. I loved that show, until it got too out there. Loved the guy that could set himself on fire, not so keen about all the alien goings on.
This week, I may have discovered my latest obsession: Fringe. It's an American show that explores 'fringe' science. From the first episode, I was hooked. And the best thing is that they're already finished season 4, so I have so many eps to catch up on, instead of waiting not-so-patiently for the new season. Dexter, True Blood, I'm talking to you.
Fringe is the better version of X-Files for many reasons: better storylines, interesting characters. And Joshua Jackson. I never saw anything remotely attractive about David Duchovny as Mulder. Joshua Jackson, however, is quite a delight.

Oh yes, my hubby got right into that show....but kudos for you for finding it later - i think it's much better to watch the episodes when you want (or even do a marathon) and watch them back to back night after night!!! And yes, Joshua Jackson....I remember swooning over him on Dawson's Creek x
Ooo I loved X files! Sounds like something my husband and I can watch together and BOTH enjoy!
